The US Lavender Growers Association has announced its 2015 slate of officers and directors. Michael (Mike) Neustrom, of Prairie Lavender Farm in Bennington, Kansas, has been elected for a two year term, replacing Mary Bergstrom, of Southern Hills Lavender in Greer, South Carolina, who served as the association’s founding president. Mike previously served on the board as USLGA treasurer.
Other officers elected were Jane DeHart, vice-president, of Cranberry Lake Farm, Marcellus, Michigan; Julie Haushalter, treasurer, White Oak Lavender Farm, Harrisonberg, Virginia; and Rose Eide, secretary, Lampasas Ridge Lavender Farm, Killeen, Texas.
Directors are Lila Avery-Fuson, Central Coast Lavender Farm, Paso Robles, California; Jim Morford, Morford Lavender Farm, Kanoplis, Kansas; Ellen Reynolds, Beagle Ridge Herb Farm, Wytheville, Virginia; Trudy Perry, Heritage Lavender, Berthoud, Colorado; Ginna Gemmell, Lavender Green Farm, Knox, Pennsylvania; and past president Mary Bergstrom.
