2013 USLGA Priorities

As you may remember, our mission is:  To support and promote the United States lavender industry through research, education, networking and marketing.  In 2013, we are addressing our mission in several ways:
1. Quantifying U.S. lavender production; identifying what is done with raw products, developing standardized means of measurement and reporting.

  • This will help us begin to identify the industry as a whole and to identify areas for future research.
  • This will provide you with information to help you learn, measure for accurate record keeping, estimate yields, and make data-based business decisions.
2. Creating awareness of U.S. lavender industry, identifying marketing opportunities and beginning advocacy.
  • This will be done to support and promote growers and sellers; and grow recognition of the U.S. Lavender industry.
  • Advocacy for the industry will benefit you because it raises awareness and understanding and generates support for your business.  An advocacy program allows every member to be involved in shaping the future of our industry. Look for more information from national grassroots advocacy leadership at our conference!

You will see emails and surveys about these, so be on the lookout!
